Main clinical interests in complex adult and pediatric spinal surgery which includes spinal deformity, i.e. surgery for scoliosis and spinal imbalance, revision surgery and surgery for primary tumors of the spine. Research interests in randomized trials and predictive clinical and biomechanic models of outcomes and failure of spinal surgery.

Avid teacher and presenter, lecturing internationally on spinal surgery and techniques. Chair of the Education and Fellowship Council of EUROSPINE 2019-2022 and serving on the editorial board of Brain & Spine, the Official Journal of EANS and Eurospine.
