Waseem Azizi

With 23 years of robust experience across the domain of neurosurgery, Dr. Aziz is a distinguished professional in both academic and clinical settings. Prior to joining SSMC, Dr. Aziz served as a Consultant and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Mediclinic and a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Tawam Hospital. Dr. Aziz graduated from the University of Alexandria in Egypt with a medical degree in 1998 and completed his master’s degree in surgery in 2003, as well as his PhD in neurosurgery in 2010. In 2005, Dr. Aziz received his fellowship in skull base surgery, endovascular neurosurgery and neuro-anatomical studies at Keio University in Japan. He then completed a research fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in the USA in 2009, after receiving training at the Foundation A. Rothschild in France. Dr. Aziz was granted the prestigious Associate Professor title in 2018 in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Alexandria.
