With over 27 yrs. experience in orthopaedics and trauma surgery.  Over the last 2yrs worked as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical city, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Prior to current post have been a Consultant at tertiary level NHS university teaching hospital, Queen Elizabeth University teaching Hospital, Glasgow, UK. I have undergone resident orthopaedic training in India prior to my full training at specialist registrar level in the United Kingdom before obtaining CCT in the UK.

Elective Orthopaedics:

My elective practice covers general orthopaedics with a special interest in lower limb arthroplasty, complex hip and knee revision surgery and young adult hip pathology. I am fellowship trained in these above subspecialties. The young adult hip pathology practise encompasses predominately hip dysplasia surgery [periacetabular osteotomy and proximal femoral osteotomy] FAI surgery [open surgical dislocation and arthroscopic hip surgery], diagnostic and therapeutic hip arthroscopy, young adult arthroplasty, neurological hip and knee deformity and sports medicine.

Trauma

In terms of trauma, I have extensive experience in lower limb complex periarticular fractures, periprosthetic fractures and fragility fractures, and the management of polytrauma. Having worked in one of the busiest tertiary Major trauma centres in Scotland, I am well equipped to handle high volume cases.

Teaching

As a British Orthopaedic Association accredited surgical educational and clinical trainer, I have special interest in orthopaedic teaching. I have actively taken part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, which involves the preparation of in -training registrars for FRCS Orth exit examination.
