Peter Giannoudis

Professor Giannoudis is the Professor and Chairman of Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery (tenured post) at the Medical School of the University of Leeds, UK.  He has served in positions of responsibility including President of the British Trauma Society (2003-2007), President of the European Society of Pelvis and Acetabulum (2007-2012),

President of the European Society Tissue Regeneration in Orthopaedics and Traumatology

(2018-onwards), Chair of the International Committee of Orthopaedic Trauma Association

(USA) (2012-2018), Trustee of the British Orthopaedic Association (2017-2020), and Editor

in Chief of Injury Journal (2010-onwards). He has been awarded research grants for over £6,000,000 during the past 10 years. He has published over 650 peer-review

publications and 10 Orthopaedic and Trauma textbooks. His H-index is 92 with 32,838

citations. Professor Giannoudis is a regular international keynote speaker having delivered

over 400 lectures around the world.
