Current Responsibilities

Clinical lead of NoF unit at UHNM, currently manages >920 per year. Annual elective work; 350 primary and 30 revision THRs. He has cared for over 11,000 NoF and 5,000 THR patients.

Main Work Interests

Philip’s work is focused on the hip both elective and trauma. Understanding bearings, component alignment and soft tissue balancing and infection prevention Philip lectures and operates with colleagues in Europe, Middle and Far East.

Philip completed his first degree in Infection 1989 and qualified from St. Mary’s, London 1992 with the McCowan Scholarship.

Orthopaedics at Oxford and registrar on Stoke/Oswestry rotation, a fellowship in Cardiff.
